Inner Worth and Outer Worth – Grounded in Being, Fulfilled in Doing
We often speak of self-worth as if it were one thing.
Yet it lives in two dimensions.
How do we honor the worth that needs no proof,
and still bring forth the worth that shows itself in contribution?
1. Inner Worth / Outer Worth
Grounded in being
Fulfilled in doing
2. Two Dimensions of Worth
Self-worth is often treated as one thing
But it lives in two realms.
3. The Unsteady Chase
We chase outer signs of worth
Promotion, praise, KPIs
Yet still feel unsteady inside.
4. The Harmony We Need
Lasting confidence comes from balancing the two
The worth that grounds you
And the worth that reflects in your work.
5. Inner Worth
Your quiet foundation
Unshaken by judgment and expectations
The root that grounds you amid change.
6. Outer Worth
Your lived contribution
How your gifts and skills meet the world’s needs
Where intent leads to action.
7. A Worthy Scan
Pause for a weekly self-check.
Inner: one habit that protects your ground
Outer: one way you offer your gifts
Ask: do I feel aligned?
8. Where Do You Lean
How has your balance shifted lately?
Inner: too much retreating
Outer: too much proving
Recalibrate.
9. The Full Measure of Worth
Self-worth is not a single note
It is the harmony of being and doing —
the quiet force behind every choice we make.
10. Our worth shapes how we show up
and what we offer the world.
