Being Visible To Yourself
Have you ever walked down the street or through an IKEA room and caught your reflection in a mirror?
What was your reaction?
“Ah, there’s good old me.”
“Hey, there’s my twin.”
“Oh my God! That’s me!”
“Ugh…”
Your reaction may reveal more than you realize.
As you move through daily life, how is that person in the mirror caring for you?
How are you caring for that person?
This is the person that you live with 24/7.
The Vietnamese poet Cao Bá Quát asked, “Ba vạn sáu nghìn ngày là mấy?”
Essentially, of thirty-six thousand days, how many do we really have?
How are you living the rest of your life?
Is the person in the mirror a true reflection of how you see yourself?
What hidden parts do you want to be more visible to yourself?
To the world?
